I think he trusted me more and more over time. So I think he was grateful for what he had done, for as the different language editions came out, I somehow helped him travel the world in a way that was less and less possible for him. And one of the most extraordinary examples of that was Irena Ilovaiskaya Alberti, whom he met in the early s, completely coincidentally or providentially.
